The shanks are fixed onto the mouthpiece and run straight down. The bit has a short purchase, low impact leverage and a quick reaction on rein pressure. Light single jointed mouth piece with unique lock up mechanism and loose rings. The loose rings allow the tongue to release and immediately re-adjust pressure, relieving areas on the tongue and bar periodically. The unique lock up mechanism protects the corners of the mouth, broadens contact service over the entire tongue, maintains a soft rounded contour and locks at the maximum curvature preventing the snaffle from forming the traditional V shape.
